Congratulations 2024 AWE
Award Winners!

Each year the CAC recognizes and celebrate the individuals and groups who support, inspire and teach students with exceptional needs in the San Francisco Unified School District. We are grateful to all individuals who are allies to our students. Their efforts and kindness make a difference.  For more information visit the CAC AWE Awards page.

WHAT IS THE CAC?

The purpose of the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education (CAC) is to advocate for effective Special Education programs and services, and advise the SFUSD Board of Education on priorities in the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). The State Education Code mandates that each SELPA must have a CAC and that a majority of CAC members be parents.
